She's been in pain for a long time, after having been diagnosed last year with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

She was always a really neat woman, a strong Christian, and a loving wife and mother. Her husband, my Uncle David, and her sons, my cousins Matthew, Adam and Douglas, provided her care through it all and displayed remarkable strength, devotion and courage.
