Childhood

Sheri tagged me with a meme about childhood. I'm supposed to name 5 things I miss.

But you know what? I don't miss anything.

Anything that was good about my childhood, I have kept. I loved shopping for school supplies, so we do that year round if we want to! We say, "I love you" a zillion times a day, and the house is full of easy laughter. In other words, I don't miss the good things, because I still have them, and the rest I wouldn't want back anyway.

I'm not going to tag anyone else, because I didn't really follow the rules on this one.

Comments:
I can understand that madam!
You seem to have everything now, except the Cleaner extaordinaire!

well at least you re-live all the good things...I miss lots of things...just not the same re-doing them as a grown up..for me anyway...but it is still fun to watch the kids have fun..and i wonder what they will miss when they grow up...

Scott, you're right, can you come load my dishwasher all day again?

Sheri, that's OK! That's what the internet is for!

Christina, it helps to have a pretty crummy childhood. There wasn't much happiness to miss, if you know what I mean...

Ditto, Jen! Let's just hope Mom doesn't read this one... :)

I've carried a lot of things from my childhood over for my own kids to enjoy.

HR Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica...

Right Julie, that would happen.

If it did maybe we'd have a >gasp< conversation about things that happened then, and how it's still sometimes messy and it's still hard work to deal with. Couldn't hurt.

Barry, some of that stuff is pretty cool!

I like the way you think.

I too love new school supplies and the family love is still there. Thanks for the reminder.

I have to agree with you as well. The thing I miss most about my childhood is... my childhood!

My Mom bragged that she NEVER read a book on parenting... Ummm I don't think that was a good thing.

My Dad thought that since I was the oldest that I was supposed to be in charge of the others. YEAH! Like they were going to listen to me!

I'm now getting my childhood back through my kid. She gets a lot of toys that I wanted as a kid (so I can play with them!)
