I guess life really DOES imitate art!

The newest member of the royal family in Norway was named after Princess Leia.

Norwegian Princess Leah's name was inspired by a character in a "Star Wars" movie, the mother of the infant princess was quoted as saying on Thursday. "I must admit that I have always been a big 'Star Wars' fan, and Princess Leia has always been the most beautiful in the whole world," Princess Martha Louise said.

I don't understand the difference in spelling but it's pretty cool to have a name like that. My boyfriend swears he will name our kid Yoda. I am currently looking for another sperm donor. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting.

thaoist--good luck finding a new donor!

jen--have you told everyone how you named anya after anastacia? hee hee, sorry!

No, and I didn't, and that sucks. The only good thing about it is that movie tanked and almost no one's ever heard of it...

I do have a friend with a daughter named Ariel, from a few years before "Little Mermaid." That's gotta hurt.

well I have a child named Liam after my wife's infatuation with Liam Neeson and Ireland :)

Chrissy loves the Anastacia movie and if my Brother & SIL hadn't hogged all the A names (both their kids names start with A's) I would have named Chrissy, Anastacia - of course I don't think that anyone in DH's family would have liked me calling her Stacy - as oldest BIL's ex-wife is a Stacey! :O
I won't tell Chrissy that's who Anya is named after. :D She really loves Bartok and we checked out that movie today.

I have a friend who's name is Leah, pronounced "Lee Ah"... although most want to pronounce it Lee (which I think it looks more like.)

oh I just finally got your responce to Julie's post...Anya isn't named after the movie. See now I don't have to keep any secret...except that Julie likes to cause trouble ;o)
