It's funny because up until a few days ago, I didn't like the song (well, I still don't). But someone else asked about the lyrics and why they spelled out bananas.

So I looked up the lyrics, and it just makes me dislike the overplayed song more and more!
 

All of a sudden I am hearing it everywhere, and it's making me crazy. I can't stand the fact that it makes no sense. Plus, isn't she a little old for high school?
 

I am SO glad that I don't listen to regular radio anymore! b-a-n-a-n-a-s was the only part of those lyrics that sounded decent to hear!

I think that is the point of the song. No one REALLY knows what a Hollaback Girl is.
