I think the racist (based on history) lapd are at fault, not the guy. He was afraid for he and his daughter's life. The police beat and kill minorities all the time.
 

I think you just made my point, eabha, if he thought the police were going to kill him, he shouldn't have taken his toddler daughter along.

I have no doubt the police are at fault on this one, too, though. That's a bad bit of police-work, shooting a toddler...
