Hope there are no epileptics driving through the neighborhood!

This is a beautiful, and amazing, synchronized Christmas light display. You truly have to see it to believe it.

According to the Urban Legends Reference Page:

This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frquency and doesn't disturb the neighbors.
That's very thoughtful, but unless he's out on his own 40 acres, my guess is that he's disturbing the neighbors anyway...

Comments:
I'm guessing that he disturbs the neighbors too. I know that I would be disturbed if my neighbor put up something like that.
We went driving to look at lights tonight (Darly had Christmas Pageant practice) and quite a few already have theirs up. One street strings lights up over the street between the houses... pretty cool!

It is amazing, but I woundn't want my neighbors doing it. I imagine they must keep lots of phenobarbital on hand for seizures.

What a show!

I think you're right. Even without the music, those bright lights going on and off in such a mad display would have to bother the neighbors. I'm sure the traffic coming by to see the lights also doesn't help.

I will admit, though, I'm impressed.

I really loved this. And I am glad to know it is true.

And I am super glad I'm not his neighbor :)

That's nice. As long as he doesn't live near me!

Good grief. I don't mean to be a scrooge or anything, but that's a little too much! I hope he doesn't do the music/light show EVERY night. I mean, the lights are cool, but to look at that every night would be too much.

Boy, that clip is sure making the rounds! I think I've had at least 4 or 5 emails with it already.

Yes, that has been around the web since Thanksgiving. Even fark and geekpress have linked it. I think it is awesome even if it is fake.
