We're digging out!
Hooray!
While we actually had a lot of fun while we were snowbound, I'm not willing to do caretaking for the Overlook Hotel anytime soon. We were all getting a little itchy by last night.

Although we weren't to the point of "REDRUM! REDRUM!" yet, we were definitely experiencing a lot of "STOP IT!" and "SHE'S TOUCHING ME!" and so on. It was plain to see that it wasn't going to be long before we started using hatchets on the doors, "Heeeeeerrreeeee's Jenny!" and all that...
Anyway, we're going to run out McDonald's to meet some friends. Let's hope that not everyone in Denver has the same idea!

Woooow - lucky youuuuuuuu - living in Norway, we are the one who was supposed to be snowbound right now - so I envy you but also feel happy for you. Hope it last for the Holiday!

We got dug out and went with our neighbor to King Soopers. They were totally wiped out on most everything...NO OJ, NO salad, No potatoes, not much in the meat dept...but the did have what I wanted... oh and virtually no pizza.
We shoveled for several hours and then drove our SUV through the rest of it. Our neighbors have perfectly clear driveways-- I cannot figure out how they did it. Our development is a mountain of ice and snow still, but we went out today, too. Unfortunately, the stores here are like Renee was saying: no toys, no medicine, etc. We did manage to spend a lot of money, somehow, though.
