At these prices, it BETTER do a body good!

Milk prices expected to rise 9 percent

Dairy economists predict the retail price of milk could rise as much as 30 cents per gallon — a 9 percent jump — by fall. The reasons include rising fuel and feed costs for farmers and increasing demand for milk products around the globe.

The average retail price of whole milk could rise to $3.35 per gallon by October, up from $3.07 in January, said Ken Bailey, an agricultural economist at Penn State University who specializes in the dairy industry.
I tell you what, that's enough to make me consider relactating.

"Relacting"? I'll have to remember that word! Sorta like the sound of it, just not the physics behind it. ;)

I tagged you, if that's all right. You can go to my blog for more details. If you've done this tag before, then don't worry about it.

I don't drink that much milk. But Nick drinks enough for the both of us. And so do my kids. I only need it for cookies.

I was with you until you got to the relactating part ;-)

I'm already paying that much for a gallon of milk! And it's going up???

Maybe I should relactate...I wonder how I could talk DH into drinking it? LOL

I do miss the days of $2.50 milk. But then I remember Hawaii, with the $5 milk and the $7 cereal (this was 9 years ago), and I... have another bowl!
