De-stashing

I mean that I'm getting rid of a lot of yarn, but the subject of this post reminds me that I need to wax, too. All that time in high school when I couldn't wait to grow out of my acne, I wish someone would have told me that even more horrifying skin issues would crop up over time. Then I wouldn't have been in such a hurry!

Back to the yarn. I had no idea I had so much of it crammed upstairs in my stash corner. And, now I need to condense it and move it so that I can fit the desk we're getting from Heather in that same spot.

Most of the yarn wasn't really expensive, and I didn't buy it with the idea of making anything specific with it. I just can't seem to NOT buy yarn if I see it's available, and heaven help us all if it's on sale!

I think that I need to declare a moratorium on yarn shopping, and go cold turkey until I use up some of what I have. And, in the meantime, I'll make more squares for LoveAfghans for Pine Ridge Reservation. I haven't sent her a box of them in ages, and she makes such pretty blankets that it would be nice to get involved again. Maybe I'll even start this before I finish up my Crayola-inspired socks.

Does anyone want a ton of acrylic yarn in odd amounts? Let me know, I can hook a sister (or brother) up...

DD & I could take some of that off your hands! And if you teach me how to do the squares at SC next month I can help do that too. Do they want a certain type of yarn?

Yesterday at Big Lots we found some of that shaggy "yarn" in white that looks a lot like one of DD's Webkinz and so based on a LOLdogs she wants to knit a sisfur for her Webkinz. LOL!

Congrats on your new desk!

Sounds an imaginative venture to do with the yarn, Jen.

Hey, that's really a cool deal, Jen! Go, you!

I know about the, ahem, different skin issues. I thought yesterday how very sad it was that I was thrilled to have gotten every visible nasty hair out of my chin for once. Life sux when you get old.

Are you serious Renee? Give me some guidelines and I'll give you a whole bunch. For Pine Ridge, she prefers 100% as it's easier to wash, doesn't felt, and no one's allergic to it.

J-L P, I hope it works, otherwise we'll need a new house!

Lori, yeah, I can't seem to put enough makeup on to cover it all either. Or, if I do, I look like a drag queen. Don't get me wrong, I love a good drag queen, but I was born a girl!!!!!

I do not own any yarn whatsoever. You would not be happy if you came to my house in search of yarn.
You'd find a good supply of toiletries and canned food though and lots of plants.
:-)
I hope your de-stashing goes well.

My house is also yarn-free... well, except for a drawing my daughter did on which she used yarn for hair.

JD and Cube, how do you live without yarn? I didn't know such a thing was possible...
