While surfing for some information on the history of laundry or something relevant to put here, I found this interesting fact:

The average American uses more energy running a clothes dryer than the average African uses in a year for all her energy needs.

Wild, huh? Maybe I'll go back to using my solution from when we were waiting on the repairman to fix the dryer, it wasn't too hard to do and probably saved lots of energy...
